So the decision is final. We are soon-to-be home owners. Tuesday evening a purchase agreement was signed and Friday we will meet with our friendly loan officer to begin this big (and yes, somewhat scary) adventure of home-ownership.

For lack of pictures (the house is for sale by owner, and still our household does not own a digital camera) I'll describe our new abode. It is mint green. I know - Yuck. So until next year I will live in a mint green house. It has a single detached garage that R.Jay is absolutely enthralled by. I suppose I can relate to his excitement some because I'll be getting a brand new kitchen! We will be adding to the existing kitchen and dining room immediately and putting all new appliances and materials in the kitchen. Lots of fun. The living room is fairly large and there is a full bathroom off the living room. There are three bedrooms upstairs and another full bathroom. The best part of this house is the yard. Big and beautiful and enclosed with flowers and trees. Just lovely. Time will make this house pretty, but for now our lives may be a bit chaotic in transition to moving and construction.

Why does the past always seem safer?
Maybe because at least we know we made it.
Why do we worry about the future?
When every day will come just the way the Lord ordained it.

After 3 months of lots and lots of praying with my husband, R.Jay received a phone call yesterday afternoon regarding the house we put in offer in on way back in July. He said it is ours for our offered price.

Gulp.

Now we need to decipher whether the hesitancy I feel is because of lots of cosmetic work and a debt to the bank, or God telling us to wait a bit longer.

Big choices.

The last 3 weeks...no back up... the last 6 weeks have seemed like quite a blur. Now it is time to settle back into some sort of routine, some sort of realization that things have changed and that it will be fine. Things have almost been too busy to realize just how much has changed. The physical is obvious, the emotional and spiritual not so much yet. Tomorrow morning brings an empty house and plenty of time with Him and in His word to grasp a hold of the newness in my life.

Thank you, Jesus.

I'm playing working girl again for two weeks. Hence, no time for posting.

My old job called for some aid and I quickly accepted thinking how nice two weeks of pay will be on our fuel oil bill for this winter.

So, I'm still here.
